Formulation of simple but accurate technique related to theoretical study of modal fields, propagation characteristics and optical-devices like optical amplifier, directional coupler etc. associated with different fibers both in presence and absence of Kerr nonlinearity. In optical-communication, various kinds of microlenses on the tips of various kinds of fibers including photonic-crystal fiber are being studied for accurate theoretical estimation of the coupling optics in simple fashion.
